LRS members joined PHID Feeding project

A few of LRS members had joined PHID in their feeding the poor project during the weekend.
Preparing the ingredient. Mellisa's son Jeremy is wondering why John is massaging the onion instead of slicing it like his mother does.

Sister Mellisa is really good in slicing the onions while brother Francis is learning a new trick in peeling.
Agnes, our master cook for PHID and for the day.
Brother Francis Khoo, our LRS Leader washed some potatoes.
Now is John's turn to stir the fried onions.
These are the ingredient which will be added to the fried onion later.

John seems to be enjoying cooking. Is he or just posing for the camera?

Brother Francis is checking the rice which John had cooked. Seems to be not enough water...hopefully the rice is well cook.
Cooking is completed and ready to move on to Ara Damansara.
Preparing the tables and the food before we start distributing the food.
John is doing a simple task of distributing water melon and yet sometime he is dreaming of something else and missed the plate.
 The kids enjoy their food.

Brother Joseph Wong is talking to one of the mother of those kid.
The kids really enjoy the food.

The LRS members showing their faces that they are here. Lucky they do our part if not people may say that they are here just to talk photos for fun.
Brother Speakman is having a one to one talk with one of the sister at Ara Damansara.
Chairs and tables are properly stacked after their lunch.
While the plates and the waste are place in the allocated area.

St Ignatius Feast Day 2011

St Ignatius Feast Day 2011 was celebrated at St. Ignatius Church last Saturday, July 30th.

SIC LRS is also participated in the feast with two counter namely LRS information Centre and Chris' One and Only One Fried Kueh Teow' Stall.

Please join me to walk back in time to see what they have to offer.

The crowd were packed despite the heavy rain in the morning. As we enter the area, we are greet by the aroma of the delicious and mouth watering Satay. Please bear in mind those yellow shirt are not 'bersih' but SIC Charismatic Prayer Group.
The smiles on the faces of those who man the stalls gave us a sign that they are really love their task at hand.
As we walk further in, we pass PHID stall which sells cloths.
And on our left is an information counter for Capuchin. Once I long to be a Capuchin myself as I love the way of St. Francis of Assissi.
Next is the PHID information counter.
And this cute bird's cage. I just wonder why everyone that pass by, lift up this cage and yet not buying.
The Altar Server information counter is next.
This is our LRS information counter where Sister Elizabert, Sister Ernestine and Brother Edwin are in-charge of the counter. While I am just a helper.

Brother Francis and Brother Nicholas posed for the camera.
These are some of the programs that organized by LRS.
The books on the display at our counter are so attractive even Sister Elizabert can not resist the temptation to pick up one.
Brother Francis is always multitask. Psst! those Ice Kacang are really good.
SIC Youth Group entertained the crowd and made it better with their young invited guest.
Burger Stall assistants serving their customers.
This is one of the LRS food stall where Brother Chris with his best fried Kueh Teow in town attracted most of us.
It's a long queue but worth waiting.
And the kids also have their own entertainment with their castle.
And yet some kids still prefer to spend their time in story telling and colouring with Sister Kim upstairs.
This is the 1st place winner for Treasure Hunt competition.
A familiar face, our fellow LRS Sister Rebecca's team managed to get 2nd place in the Treasure Hunt Competition.
Wow!! Not again. Congratulation Sister Rebecca!! She is also announced as a winner for CCC's quiz competition.
Another winner and it seems that everyone is winning. Praise the Lord!!!
Another winner? Sorry that is Sister Agnes with Mrs Nicholas holding an angel.
The best come last, today is also a birthday for our Parish Priest, Father Lucas Ng.

"Happy Birthday, Father Lucas Ng. May God bless you everyday in your life."

God is good. All the time. Trust in God.
